# blurimage: Blur Image

> blurimage (Blur Image) is a 1001fx API function in the group Images: POST https://api.1001fx.com/images/blurimage, 3 credits per call. It works as a ready-made module in Make or as a plain HTTP call.

Blurs an image (fast box blur or smoother Gaussian blur), e.g. for backgrounds or to hide details.

## Parameters

- `file` (file, optional) – File: The image (PNG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIF). Either file or fileUrl.
- `fileUrl` (string, optional) – File URL: Public URL of the image. Either file or fileUrl.
- `radius` (number, optional, default `5`, min 1, max 100) – Radius: Strength in pixels, 1 to 100, default 5.
- `method` (enum, optional, one of `box`, `gaussian`, default `box`) – Method: box (default, fast) or gaussian (smoother, slower).
- `outputFormat` (enum, optional, one of `png`, `jpeg`, `bmp`, `tiff`, `gif`) – Output format: Format of the result; default: same as the input.
