# insertrows: Insert rows into a data table

> insertrows (Insert rows into a data table) is a 1001fx API function in the group Data tables: POST https://api.1001fx.com/datatables/insertrows, 1 credit per call. It works as a ready-made module in Make or as a plain HTTP call.

Inserts one or more rows (array of objects, keys = column names) into a data table. Values are converted to the column type (e.g. "49.90" for a number column). Unknown columns are an error unless ignoreUnknownColumns is set. Returns the new rows with id, createdAt and updatedAt. Parallel calls on the same table can overwrite each other (last write wins): in Make, process bundles one after another for writing functions.
