# readbarcode: Read Barcode – Decode Barcodes from Images

> readbarcode (Read Barcode – Decode Barcodes from Images) is a 1001fx API function in the group Images: POST https://api.1001fx.com/images/readbarcode, 3 credits per call. It works as a ready-made module in Make or as a plain HTTP call.

Reads the barcode in an image (photo, scan, screenshot): EAN, UPC, Code 128/39/93, ITF, Codabar, DataMatrix, PDF417, Aztec and QR codes. Returns the content and the barcode type.
